Burns Lake Community Forest declares first Free Growing stand
Burns Lake Community Forest declared its first Free Growing (FG) stand in August 2009. Early plantations of the community forest were planted to 100% spruce.

10th Anniversary Celebration
Burns Lake Community Forest celebrated its 10th Anniversary in 2010. The following information was published in the local newspaper to notify the public of the progress made in 10 years, as well as BLCF's future plans.

10 Millionth Tree Planting
Burns Lake Community Forest planted its 10 millionth seedling in the spring of 2011. BLCF hosted a Community Barbeque to celebrate its "10 Millionth Tree" planting on June 7, 2011.
